All of the Windows games contains 13 games and of them are nine strategy games and four action games, and many of the games are networkable across the Internet or a local area network. Slay
Slay is a simple to learn game of strategy and cunning set in medieval times. The island is divided up between the six players, and you must try to capture your enemies' land and link up your own territories to create larger and stronger ones. You begin capturing land by attacking with your peasants. Once your territories become richer you can combine peasants to make stronger and stronger people (Spearmen, Knights and then Barons) who can kill weaker enemy troops, or knock down their castles. Just be careful that you don't create too many expensive men or the territory will go bankrupt!
The latest version of Slay for Windows allows you to design your own islands and to play network games. There is also a built-in lobby system to find opponents on the Internet.
Conquest
Conquest is a board game for Windows PCs and Pocket PCs. You fight against up to 7 computer or human controlled opponents to take over the world before you are eliminated by your enemies. Each computer opponent has their own personality which you can customize. The Artificial Intelligence of the computer opponents is particularly strong and you'll have to fight hard to beat them!
It's very easy to design your own maps and there are now over 350 different maps which previous customers have designed which you can download for free.
The latest version of Conquest for Windows allows you to play network games online and there is a built-in lobby system to find opponents on the Internet where games are continuously being played.
Critical Mass
Critical Mass is a game set in the future, where you are the commander of a squadron of spaceships. You will be sent on one of 30 different types of mission, ranging from protecting a convoy, to attacking an enemy starbase, to defending Earth.
You fight enemy spaceships using six different types of missiles which home in on the nearest target, so you have to be careful not to destroy your own friends...
The game is turn based, but with missiles homing in on your tail, enemy ships weaving to get out of your line of sight and sirens screaming warnings at you it can get pretty frantic!
The General
In this version of the classic board game you lead your troops into battle against the computer opponent in a race to capture your enemy's flag. Initially you can't see how the enemy has positioned his troops and he can't see yours which gives ample opportunity for bluffing and deception from both sides.
You can play with the standard rules or change any of the various rule options to suit your play. The Artificial Intelligence of the various computer controlled opponents is very strong so you'll have to fight deviously to win!
Mother of All Battles
Fans of the old classic strategy wargame "Empire" will feel right at home with Mother Of All Battles where the object is to capture the world starting from your single home city. Each city can build units (either tanks, planes, paratroopers, bombers, transports, destroyers, battleships, submarines or aircraft carriers) in order to explore the world and defeat your enemies.
There's a lot of AI in the computer's moves and every game the islands are randomly generated, so each game is interesting and challenging.
Firefight
Firefight is a World War II real time simulation game. It relies heavily on the use of artificial intelligence to create a realistic game, while having a user interface so simple and intuitive that you can learn to play in minutes.
The player takes control of up to twenty squads of tanks, anti-tank guns or various infantry formations. These squads can be manoeuvred around the large battlefield and ordered to fire on enemy positions. In addition the player can call down artillery strikes of high explosive or smoke shells.
The game is won by the player taking control of the designated mission objective, either a village, farm or hill, and holding it with enough strength to resist enemy counter attacks.
Capture the Flag
In this game you have control of 8 men who you move around the map to either defend your own flag or to sneak into the enemy's territory to find and capture their flag to win the game. Each man has his own strengths and weaknesses in the different abilities of speed, vision and stealth so some are better suited to defence and some to attack. It's an exciting race against time as you explore your opponent's half of the map and avoid being seen and captured by his defenders while you know he's quietly searching your half too...
The game comes complete with a built-in map designer to create your own maps which can then be shared with other players.
Niggle
Niggle (also known as "Oh Hell") is an easy to learn card game where you must guess how many tricks you are going to win each round. The fun comes from trying to get exactly the number of wins you guessed while stopping your opponents from achieving their target.
The AI plays a mean game and also shows you how confident or worried the computer players are that they will make their bids.
End Of Atlantis
The planet of Atlantis is disintegrating and the only hope of your tribe surviving is to make it to the far flung galaxies. Take control of the rockets or take a risk and space walk it but be careful as there are monsters, space octopuses and aliens out there. But maybe you'll get lucky and hitch a ride on a friendly UFO!
Football-o-saurus
Football-o-saurus is a fast paced game of 5-a-side dinosaur football. You control your dinosaur by simply pointing where you want him to move to, and pass the ball by clicking on where you want to aim. The computer controlled dinosaurs are all very intelligent and will run into space when their team has the ball, and mark their opponents when they are defending so you have to put together a good move to score a goal.
The game is networkable so up to 10 people can play against each other over a local network or the Internet.
Rats
Rats! is a frantic game of rodent extermination in a race against time before the rats have a chance to mate and overrun the maze. To stop the vermin you use bombs, radioactive waste, gas, poison, plague rats, blocks and gender changing chemicals. Each weapon has its own characteristics so they need to be placed strategically or the rat population will keep increasing. And as the rat population increases your pulse rate will too!
Foosball
Play a game of Table Football against the computer or against up to 8 people on a network.
In solo games you can play in a League system or in a World Cup knock-out competition against the 32 top countries in the World.
UFOS
UFOs is a fun game for up to four people on a network or over the Internet. You guide your UFO to try and snatch as many crystals as you can before your opponents get them. There are also "Meanies" out there who will try their best to ram or shoot you!
